Project Transformation Winner: Jackie Slutske

May 12, 2010 - 12:00PM

After an extensive selection process, eight winners were chosen to embark upon a six-month journey to improve their personal health and wellness as part of Project Transformation. Each winner began the program with an extensive medical assessment with California Health & Longevity Institute doctors as well as personalized consultations with our experts in nutrition, fitness and life balance. From that point, a customized six-month program was provided to each winner based upon their personal heath history, goals and lifestyle. As part of the program, the winners participate in ongoing personal training, nutrition consultations, health strategies recommendations, complementary and alternative medicine treatments (acupuncture, energy healing, hypnotherapy), hands-on cooking experiences in the Wellness Kitchen, therapeutic treatments in The Spa at Four Seasons, group workshops and more.

The personal stories and progress of the winners will be chronicled on an ongoing basis in the Wellness Connection. Visit often for updates and to check in with the Project Transformation winners.

Project Transformation Winner: Jackie Slutske

“Aren’t we all looking to be transformed in some way?”

Jackie Slutske, one of our eight Project Transformation winners, is a writer and lecturer who hails from Thousand Oaks, California. Along with Lucy, her lovable German shepherd and companion on long walks, her husband and her grown children, she has embarked on a full lifestyle transformation at California Health & Longevity Institute. Her main goal in this journey is to put on a pair of dancing shoes once more and get up and dance!

Jackie plans to accomplish her transformation from “frog into princess” by working hard, staying positive and continuing to be motivated with the help of the experts at the Institute. She is currently keeping a record of her experiences on her online blog, the Frog Blog.

A month into the program, Jackie says that she has better balance already and is walking faster and stronger. She has even convinced her husband to exercise as well.
So, have you ever seen a frog dance? Probably not, but when Jackie is finished with her transformation, she’ll be the one in green.
