Part of his intestine was forced through the tear and remains between the skin and the abdominal muscles. It is not difficult to understand why this was a problem for James.” During the show, we saw that James needed to lose more weight to be eligible for both the skin removal surgery and hernia repair. According to Dr. Schaack, “with surgery, the intestines can be put in place and the tear repaired. James has nearly lost enough weight to be able to have the surgery safely.” At the Institute, our entire team is very proud of James’ progress and we are looking forward to seeing his continued success.
