New Weight Loss Training Packages Incorporate 360-Degree Approach for Sustainable Change

NEW WEIGHT LOSS TRAINING PACKAGES INCORPORATE 360-DEGREE APPROACH FOR SUSTAINABLE CHANGE AT CALIFORNIA HEALTH & LONGEVITY INSTITUTE

(Westlake Village, Calif.) -  More than 60 percent of the United States population is considered overweight or obese, contributing to chronic health issues including heart disease and diabetes.  California Health & Longevity Institute experts in the fields of medicine, nutrition, fitness and life balance created two new packages to provide tools and strategies for achieving sustainable weight loss goals. The five-day Weight Loss Training package and two-day Weight Loss Kick Start package include on-site lab testing, fitness assessments, personalized consultations in nutrition, fitness and life balance, a hands-on cooking class and customized health goals developed for long-term results.  California Health & Longevity Institute, located at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, is featured on The Biggest Loser during the season premiere on Tuesday, September 15 on NBC at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The Weight Loss Training package is a comprehensive immersion that includes:
• On-site medical evaluation with a physician including lab analysis
• Choice of three complementary and alternative medicine treatments such as hypnotherapy, energy healing or acupuncture
• BOD POD – the gold standard for assessing body mass composition
• Fitness assessments including resting metabolic rate (RMR), VO2 test, posture and movement assessment
• Fitness consultation with exercise specialist and four personal training sessions
• Nutrition consultation with registered dietitian and three follow-up sessions
• Daily health strategies sessions with a lifestyle consultant including development of a life plan for implementing sustainable change
• Two Wellness Kitchen hands-on cooking, dining and nutrition experiences
• Grocery Store Tour led by a registered dietitian to gain practical shopping strategies
• Two workshops with topics such as “The Truth About Weight” and “Changing for Good”
• Small group fitness classes that will expand your exercise routine
• Follow-up phone consultations with experts in fitness, nutrition and life balance

This comprehensive package is $4,700 per person, or $3,700 excluding the medical evaluation.

The two-day Weight Loss Kick Start package includes lab analysis, complementary and alternative medicine treatment, series of fitness assessments, consultations with a registered dietitian, exercise specialist and lifestyle consultant, fitness classes and a Wellness Kitchen experience.  The Weight Loss Kick Start package is $1,400 per person.

For optimal convenience, Weight Loss package guests can stay at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village with rates starting from $150 per night, located on-site.  Hotel guests can take advantage of 24-hour complimentary access to the 16,000-square-foot fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, and daily exercise classes such as yoga and Pilates.
Both Weight Loss packages are available through March 31, 2010 and require three-day advanced booking.  Package guests should consult with a doctor before starting an exercise program.
