Dr. Andrew Deutsch, a nationally respected expert in skeletal radiology and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), serves as Director of Imaging at California Health & Longevity Institute.  Born and raised in New York City and educated at Columbia University, Dr. Deutsch received his training in diagnostic radiology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where he did his residency, served as Chief Resident, and did his fellowship training.

Dr. Deutsch is well known for his original contributions to the medical literature in the area of skeletal radiology and musculoskeletal and spinal MRI. He is the author of over 50 original scientific papers and has authored four textbooks utilized throughout the world to educate radiologists and orthopedic surgeons on musculoskeletal MRI. His first textbook, MRI of the Musculoskeletal System, was reviewed in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine as ‘the one textbook to own to learn musculoskeletal MRI’.

Mark Beller, M.D.

Diagnostic Radiologist

Dr. Mark Beller obtained his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1995.  After graduating, Dr. Beller did a year of internal medicine at the combined UCLA-Cedars Sinai medical internship program. Subsequently, his five-year radiology residency and fellowship training program was completed at the UCLA Department of Radiological Sciences.

Dr. Beller’s fellowship at UCLA was multi-disciplined, centered upon advanced cross sectional imaging and oncology. His training concentrated upon hepatobiliary imaging including liver MRI and MRCP, genitourinary imaging including female pelvis MRI and CT Urograms, and PET scanning. Immediately out of fellowship, Dr. Beller was recruited by Renaissance Imaging to be part of a subspecialty team that provides the highest quality of imaging services to the Antelope Valley. He has quickly earned respect and praise from his colleagues in practice, as well as the referring physicians in the community.  He specializes in diagnostic radiology at California Health & Longevity Institute.

Vu Bui, M.D.

Diagnostic Radiologist

Dr. Vu Bui is a fellowship trained musculoskeletal radiologist.  Dr. Bui attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both his undergraduate and medical education.  He did his residency in radiology at the University of Colorado School Health Sciences Center and subsequently did fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.  He serves as a diagnostic radiologist at California Health & Longevity Institute.

Jennifer Hill, M.D.

Diagnostic Radiologist

Dr. Jennifer Hill graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in bioengineering, Dr. Hill joined a start-up medical device company, Target Therapeutics, where she was part of the research and development team. While there, she designed and developed catheters and guidewires for use in interventional neuroradiology procedures. Her technical experience in the field of neurointerventional radiology led her to pursue a degree in medicine.

She attended medical school at UCLA, where she was president of her class and graduated in the top 10%.  After completing an internship at UCLA in the Department of Medicine, she continued on at UCLA for her radiology residency. Dr. Hill was Chief Resident in the Department of Radiology and then pursued additional fellowship training in neuroradiology.

Dr. Hill has broad experience with advanced cardiac and vascular imaging.  Her experience in neuroimaging spans pediatrics to geriatrics with a special interest in stroke and neurovascular imaging.

Marie McCombs, M.D.

Diagnostic Radiologist

Dr. Marie McCombs is an expert in breast imaging with particular specialization in minimally invasive breast procedures.  She attended UCLA as an undergraduate, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in French, with a minor in Spanish and Italian.

She attended UCLA Medical School and did her radiology residency training at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Los Angeles. She completed her Fellowship training at UCLA as a breast imaging specialist, where upon completion, she remained as a faculty member in the Iris Cantor Center for Breast Imaging at UCLA.  She was instrumental in developing the stereotactically-guided core needle biopsy program at UCLA. She has received national recognition as an expert in this arena.

Dr. McCombs has also been involved as a co-principal investigator in cutting edge, multi-institutional research studies on digital mammography, breast MRI and ACRIN (American College of Radiology Imaging Network).

Karin Fu, M.D.

Diagnostic Radiologist

Dr. Karin Fu is an expert in breast MRI and MRI-guided biopsy.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Stanford University, and attended Medical School at UCSD.  Dr. Fu completed a radiology residency and her fellowship training as a breast imaging specialist at the Iris Cantor Center for Breast Imaging at UCLA.  Prior to finishing her radiology training, she did a fellowship in Pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Dr. Fu has been a contributor to round table discussions about breast health issues, breast cancer and breast MRI, and is one of the co-authors of Diagnosis of Diseases of the Breast.  This book presently serves as a comprehensive text book and reference for residents, fellows and practicing breast physicians.  She is also an active member of the Society of Breast Imaging.
