On Call Lifestyle Consultant

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the on call Lifestyle Consultant will be responsible for facilitating Health Strategies consultations to individual wellness consumers as well as delivering health and wellness workshops developed by and for California Health & Longevity Institute (CHLI).

Essential Functions

Counsel program participants in health behavior change strategies and realistic, actionable step planning to effect lasting lifestyle change.
Facilitate CHLI consumer and corporate program workshops on health and wellness subject matter, utilizing supporting power point and worksheet materials developed and provided by CHLI.
Perform pre-arrival reminders to guests coming in on a medical package; informing all relevant CHLI team members of guest needs and preferences
Adhere to departmental policy regarding guest follow-up, contacting guest at designated intervals post-consultation.
Maintain PrognoCIS session note documentation.
Create comprehensive Life Plan document for Ultimate Health guest post visit.
Create articles and other educational content used for CHLI.com Wellness Connection BLOG.
Provide ongoing follow-up phone and email support to Institute Members and tracking all relevant communication attempts in spreadsheets.
Note and report all client feedback regarding CHLI services to superiors.
Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for consultation and workshop quality improvement (approach, tactics, methods).
Maintain all professional licensures, including continuing education requirements in areas aligned with CHLI philosophy and services.
Complete projects and meet deadlines as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

Education:

Master�s or doctoral degree with a major in Psychology, Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or other health and wellness related field required.
Two years of therapeutic or coaching experience in a professional environment, preferably with an emphasis in health and wellness
Professional Licensure: LCSW, OTR/L, LAMFT, LCPC or other applicable accredited certification required.

Experience:

2-4 years previous therapeutic or coaching experience in a professional setting required.
1-3 years previous experience in workshop facilitation or group presentation required.
Considerable experience creating professional treatment notes and ongoing care/action plan required. (Examples required.)
Previous experience in health and wellness education or training preferred.
Health & Wellness, Spa or Travel & Leisure industry experience a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

Superior therapeutic counseling experience and abilities. (References required.)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to adapt based on wellness consumer.
Must be extremely detail oriented with outstanding time management and organizational skills.
Proven presentation delivery and interactive workshop facilitation expertise.
Exceptional collaborative skills with ability to interface effectively with interdisciplinary, executive and administrative CHLI team members.
Must be able to function independently and as a team player.
First-rate customer service and guest relations skills.
Exemplary intuitive listening skills, demonstrating excellence of engagement in the treatment process.
Flexible and able to thrive in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated problem solving skills and sound therapeutic judgment.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize CHLI-specific software (PrognoCIS, Reservation Assistant)

Hours Required

On call Monday through Saturday between 8:00 and 5:00 p.m., as needed.
